I pride myself on being a highly professional Speech Therapist with my own individuality and approach. My passion for speech stems from me growing up with a brother who has autism. I realized then that each child is a unique individual and that he/she needs a therapist that can empathize and understand their specific needs and feelings. It is also imperative to have a bond and a trust with the child so they are open to the teachings. I excel in forming relationships based on this criteria and individualistic technique. I can and I will empathize with both students and their parents. I have built many strong relationships throughout my 15 years working as an SLP with various clients/families. Watching them build confidence and improve their speech is not only my goal it's my passion. Each child is unique in their own way and at the same time is very special to me.

It’s best to work with each child in the comfort of their own home. Over the years I have found that when a child is in their home environment they appear to feel safer and will take more risks.
Length of therapy sessions can vary due to child’s age, presenting delay/disorder, and ability to maintain focus. 30 and 45 minute sessions are offered.
Parents are always welcome to observe the sessions! Some children respond well to this and others do not. If your child does not benefit from parents being in the room then a therapist one on one is recommended.
Communication with the parents is a necessity and suggested. I will always ask for a desired way of communication to touch base with parent about each session. I will also provide carryover activities to be completed at home. A scheduled phone call throughout the week is welcomed to discuss your child.
During the pandemic (COVID-19) I have been conducting service to children via tele-therapy. This has been successful and the children continue to make progress. Due to the uncertainty of the virus, I continue to re-evaluate on a day to day basis and will communicate any changes that may be needed.
